During these unprecedented times, we are taking all applicable and viable actions to lessen the likelihood of spreading the virus, especially to our campers.
BEFORE CAMP COMMENCEMENT ACTIONS

Review all curriculum to delete or amend any activity that contains a lot of undue physical contact; for example, all games of tag will either be played with flags around the waist or some nerf object tossed below the shoulders.

Deep clean and sanitize all equipment used at each camp

Purchase only individually wrapped snacks for children

Conduct staff training for the monitoring of children and other counselors

CAMP RULES

All kids will be temp checked each day at arrival.

Conduct verbal health assessment with each parent every day upon arrival (found in the DCF recommended guidelines)

Do you have a fever of 100.4 or higher?

Have you had any respiratory infection, or have had a cough, shortness of breath, and low-grade fever?
-
In the previous 14 days, have you had any contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19; is under investigation for COVID-19; or is ill with a respiratory illness?

In the previous 14 days, have you traveled on a cruise or internationally to countries with widespread, sustained community transmission?

All counselor should monitor for the following:

Runny nose

Consistent coughing

Consistent sneezing

Complaints of sore throat

Shortness of breath / difficulty breathing

Fever

Chills
-
Muscle pain

New loss of taste or smel

All children will hand sanitize after each activity and upon entry to camp

All kids will wash hands thoroughly before and after lunch and snacks

Hourly cleaning routine with gloves

Bathrooms, faucets, handles and levers

Doorknobs

Absolutely no sharing of food or drink

Single use Dixie cups will be provided if water bottle is forgotten

Kids cannot touch water cooler…. only gloved staff may distribute

Snack will be distributed by staff wearing PPE, i.e. gloves and mask

Tables cleaned and sanitized after snacks and lunch

Groups will be divided for lunch in assigned seating groups
